In the month of July, the farm shops are filled with all sorts of summer delicacies, and this of course also applies to our hosts’ farm shops. Therefore, you have a great opportunity to fill up the motorhome with fresh ingredients when you explore Denmark with Pintrip.
Whether you are into fresh vegetables, eggs, cheese, wine, spiced sausages or beer, you will definitely find something to suit your taste.
Danish fruit and vegetables
New potatoes, sweet strawberries and crispy radishes. Is there anything better and more Danish? For us, it is very much a clear sign of summer time in Denmark. And it actually makes really good sense, because right here in the month of July, both potatoes, strawberries and radishes are in season. There are many good reasons to choose Danish fruits and vegetables in season, because they are both fresher and often cheaper. In addition, Danish fruit and vegetables contain fewer pesticides. Here in July, the following fruits and vegetables are in season: cucumber, beetroot, cauliflower, broccoli, berries, carrots, raspberries, strawberries, Jerusalem artichokes, potatoes, Chinese cabbage, cherries, onions, parsley, rhubarb, radishes, lettuce, cabbage, squash, tomatoes and peas. With almost 50 farm shops in Pintrip Guide 2021, there are really good opportunities to fill up the motorhome with fresh ingredients.

Tapas in the motorhome
Who doesn’t love tapas? Tapas is the name of a range of small Spanish dishes that can be used as appetizers or put together for a large meal – perfect in a motorhome. Along the way around the country with Pintrip, you have the opportunity to collect all sorts of summer delicacies from our Pintrip hosts, so you can create your very own tapas. Many of the farm shops that are part of Pintrip Guide make their own salami. And most people love salami on a good piece of rye bread, but many have also opened their eyes to the fact that salami can be enjoyed as it is with red wine and cheese. So, salami is perfect for tapas. In our opinion, cheese should also be part of the tapas table, and the dairies that are part of the Pintrip Guide fortunately offer the very best. We think it’s fun to taste the dairies’ special cheeses, because they are often full of character and thus perfect for tapas. As a bonus, a couple of the dairies that are part of the Pintrip Guide also make their own ice cream, which is perfect as a dessert.
Beer and wine in Denmark
No tapas table without beer and wine, and even though Denmark is a new wine country, it has become a pretty good wine country. The Danish climate is unique, also for wine making. And yet the Danish winegrowers manage to make fantastic products! We’re a big fan of ice wine and sparkling fruit wine, as a couple of the wineries in the Pintrip Guide make. And they are both perfect to enjoy here in the summer. If you are more into beer rather than wine, then of course there are several small breweries that are Pintrip hosts. And the small breweries do a lot to provide special taste experiences to the guests. In addition, many of the new breweries are located in small communities, where they create jobs and become gathering places, and that’s just great. In Pintrip Guide 2021 you will also find a selection of small Danish distilleries, which sell all kinds of delicious liqueurs, brandy and spirits. If you want to experience all the taste experiences in the Pintrip Guide, we can guarantee that you will get busy.
