Rules for Pintrip Membership
A Pintrip membership is personal and tied to the person and motorhome
This means that you buy a personal membership that you may not lend or transfer to others. You are of course welcome to invite others to join you for a Pintrip experience in your motorhome, but you have to be present.
Who can buy a Pintrip membership?
Pintrip is only suitable for motorhomes (cars designed for human habitation). Our hosts expect to be visited exclusively by motorhomes, as this is the only agreement with Pintrip. If your motorhome is without a toilet, you can still use Pintrip, but you can only stay with hosts who have the toilet icon, as this means that there are toilet facilities 24/7.
Experiences – not only free overnight stays – and no camping
A membership gives you the opportunity to have good experiences all over Denmark, where you additionally also can park for 24 hours. Our hosts have an expectation that when you choose their place, you have familiarized yourself with the place you are visiting and what options there are. An important element of Pintrip is the personal meeting between host and guest, and we think it is good style that everyone chooses what place they want to visit according to interest. In this way, you are also considerate to other Pintrippers, who might have different interests. Also, it provides the best experiences for everyone.
Pintrip is not to be confused with camping. As a rule, do not take up more space than the size of your motorhome. With many hosts, however, you are welcome to roll out the awning, grill outside the motorhome etc., as long as you just remember to ask the host if it is okay before you do. Ask the host before you use any facilities, and since you are staying privately, you should expect that for instance toilet/shower also can be used by hosts/staff/customers.
Start of the season
A new Pintrip season always starts on the 31st of March. You can therefore not use the Pintrip pitches before this date.
Your personal membership can only be used once you have received the Pintrip Guide with the vignette and membership card. As you have to present the membership card on arrival to a host and put the vignette in the windscreen of your motorhome, and these are rules that cannot be discussed. Therefore, we also do not provide membership number/app access per. mail/over the phone. If you want to go out and have Pintrip experiences here and now, we recommend that you instead buy your membership from a dealer.
Rental
Of course, it is also possible to use Pintrip in a rented motorhome. However, this means that you have to buy a new guide with a new vignette and a new membership card for each vehicle you rent. It basically works like a highway vignette. Please note that it is only possible to use the app when you know the registration number on the rented motorhome.
Lost membership card/vignette
We recommend that you keep your membership card in a safe place, as we do not replace lost membership cards. Your membership card, together with the vignette in the windscreen, is your access to use Pintrip. We do not replace lost vignettes as well, so we recommend that you as the first thing put the vignette on the windscreen of your motorhome.
New motorhome/new registration number
Since a Pintrip membership is tied to person and motorhome, this means that you have to buy a new guide with the included vignette and membership card if you change motorhome/change registration number before the end of the season. Here, too, it can be compared to a motorway vignette.
A blow in the window = new windscreen
If you are unlucky to get a cracked broken glass from a blow in your window, remember to remove the vignette and send it to us, then we will send you a new one within 1-2 working days. For this service we charge a handling fee of 100 DKK. If you forget to remove the vignette, then you have to buy a new guide with a new vignette and a new membership card.
Collaboration between Pintrip and our hosts
There is no money between Pintrip and our hosts. This means that our hosts do not receive any financial compensation from Pintrip for every visit they make. They have chosen to be hosts because first and foremost they find it nice to welcome Pintrip guests to their place.
Incorrect use of a Pintrip Membership
As a member of Pintrip, you are obligated to familiarize yourself with how the concept works and follow the current guidelines. You are a guest on our hosts’ private property and you must expect to be rejected if you do not respect Pintrip’s guidelines regarding how to use the concept. Pintrip reserves the right to withdraw a membership card without notice, if the concept is used improperly or used by another person.
