Rules for Pintrip Membership
A Pintrip membership is personal and tied to person and vehicle
This means that you buy a personal membership that you may not lend or transfer to others. In case of transfer or other fraud, the membership will be suspended and blocked. You are of course welcome to invite others to join you on a Pintrip experience, as long as you participate.
Who can buy a Pintrip membership?
Pintrip is best used with a self-sufficient vehicle, and previously Pintrip was exclusively for motorhomes, but in 2023 both rooftop tents and caravans are welcome at some of the Pintrip hosts. If you drive without a toilet, you can still use Pintrip, but you can only stay with hosts who have the toilet icon, as this means that there are toilet facilities 24/7.
Experiences – not free overnight stays – and no camping
A membership gives you the opportunity to have great experiences all over Denmark, where you also can park for free for 24 hours. Our hosts expect that you acquaint yourself with their place prior to your visit, so you know what kind of place it is and what the options are. An important part of Pintrip is the personal meeting between host and guest, and it is important that you choose the places you want to visit based on your own interests. In this way, you think on your fellow Pintrippers. Furthermore, it gives the best experiences for everyone involved.
Pintrip is not to be confused with camping. As a rule, do not take up more space than the size of your motorhome. With many hosts, however, you are welcome to roll out the awning, grill outside the vehicle etc., as long as you remember to ask the host if it is okay before you do. Ask the host before you use any facilities, and since you are staying privately, you should expect that for instance toilet/shower can also be used by hosts/staff/customers.
Start of the season
A new Pintrip season always starts on the 31st of March. You can therefore not visit the Pintrip hosts before this date.
Rental
You can also buy a Pintrip membership if you rent a vehicle. A Pintrip membership is always personal and tied to person and vehicle. If you rent several vehicles throughout the season, you need a new vignette and membership card each time you change vehicle. We will be happy to send it to you for a handling fee of 100 DKK and information about your delivery address. For this we need a photo of the contract from the first and the second rental vehicle, a photo of the vignette that you have removed from the windscreen, and a photo of the membership card that you wish to cancel.
Lost membership card/vignette
We recommend that you keep your membership card in a safe place, as we do not replace lost membership cards. Your membership card together with the vignette at the windscreen is your access to use Pintrip. We do not replace lost vignette as well, so we recommend that you as the first thing put the vignette at the windscreen of your motorhome.
New vehicle/new number plate
Your membership is tied to person and vehicle. Since you write your number plate on your membership card and put the vignette at the windscreen, you need a new vignette and a new membership card when you change vehicle or get a new number plate. We will be happy to send it to you against a handling fee of 100 DKK and information about your delivery address. For this we need a photo of both registration certificates, a photo of the vignette that you have removed from the windscreen and a photo of the membership card that you wish to cancel.
A stone chipped windscreen = new windscreen
If you are unfortunate enough to have a stone hit your windscreen, remember to take a picture of the vignette showing the number plate of your vehicle. Send it to us by email and we will send you a new vignette within 1-2 days. For this service, we charge a handling fee of 100 DKK. If you forget to take a picture of the vignette, you must buy a new membership.
Collaboration between Pintrip and our hosts
There is no money between our hosts and us. It means that our hosts to not receive any financial compensation from Pintrip for every visit they have. They have chosen to be hosts, because first and foremost they like to welcome Pintrip-guests to their place.
Improper use of a Pintrip membership
As a member of Pintrip you are obligated to acquaint yourself with the concept and to follow the current guidelines. You are a guest on our hosts´ private property and you can be rejected, if you do not respect the current Pintrip guidelines. Pintrip reserves the right to withdraw a membership card, if the concept is used improper or transferred to another person.
