About Pintrip – Our Story

Pintrip is not just a travel- and experience guide, but we are also your ticket to our network of hosts all over Denmark, who offer memorable local experiences and locally produced products. With the purchase of a year´s membership of Pintrip, you get free access to visit all our hosts, who all offer between 1-3 pitches, where you can park safely and for free. The membership is always valid for 365 days from the purchase date, and you can choose between a subscription or just a one-year membership.

Pintrip was founded by Henriette Vestergaard Balle. With several years of experience in the travel industry and a strong passion for nature experiences, she wanted to make traveling easier – and authentic experiences in Denmark more accessible.

Henriette has always been interested in what truly makes a journey unforgettable. For her, it is not only about the destination, but especially about meeting people, discovering local places, and experiencing things that you will not find in traditional travel guides.

The inspiration for Pintrip came during the family’s motorhome trips across Europe. During these travels, they discovered the French concept France Passion, where motorhome travelers can stay overnight with local hosts such as wineries, farm shops, and small producers. This concept made it possible to combine the freedom of motorhome travel with personal encounters, regional food experiences, and safe overnight stays away from traditional campsites.

This became the starting point for the idea of creating a similar network in Denmark.

In 2018, Henriette decided to turn the idea into reality and began building Pintrip from the ground up. With great dedication and many hours of development work, the first version of Pintrip was launched a year later – a digital travel guide helping motorhome travelers discover unique hosts and special experiences across Denmark.

When Pintrip launched in 2019, the network consisted of 184 hosts. Since then, Pintrip has grown to around 300 hosts across the country.

Today, Pintrip is much more than a travel guide. It is a community of hosts, members, and ambassadors who share a common interest in freedom, local experiences, and a respectful way of traveling. The concept is based on hospitality, quality, and the ambition to create real value for both hosts and travelers.

Pintrip is for those who are looking for more than just an overnight stay. For those who want to experience Denmark in a deeper and more authentic way – and return home with special memories.

At Pintrip, we continuously work on developing the platform and expanding the network so that even more people can discover Denmark in a new way. The journey has only just begun.
