PINTRIP WITH ROOFTOP TENT

.

WE ASK YOU TO READ AND FOLLOW THE FOLLOWING RULES DURING YOUR STAY. THEY ARE INTENDED TO ENSURE GOOD EXPERIENCES FOR BOTH HOSTS AND GUESTS.

Pintrip is a travel and experience guide for those who enjoy spontaneous travel and want to discover Denmark in a local and authentic way. As a member, you gain access to a network of hosts across Denmark where you can park and stay overnight for up to 24 hours free of charge – while visiting places such as farm shops, wineries, breweries, dairies, and small local attractions.

Rooftop tents are a particularly flexible way of traveling, and therefore most Pintrip hosts also welcome rooftop tents. Currently, around 250 of our 300 hosts accept rooftop tents. These hosts are marked with a rooftop tent icon in the app. You can also filter your search so that only hosts suitable for rooftop tents are displayed.

It is important to note that each host decides which types of vehicles they accept. If no rooftop tent icon is shown in the profile, rooftop tents are not allowed there – in this case, please do not contact the host to ask for exceptions.

Pintrip is not a campsite concept. This means, among other things, that tents of any kind (including pop-up tents and awnings) are not allowed. A rooftop tent is considered part of the vehicle and is therefore allowed at hosts who accept this form of travel. It is not permitted to use the area as a toilet, shower outdoors, or set up equipment without prior agreement.

Pintrip also collaborates with Moby Mountain, a specialist in rooftop tents and outdoor equipment. The partnership is based on shared values such as freedom, adventure, and nature experiences – making it even easier to travel with a rooftop tent.

If you travel with a rooftop tent, we recommend bringing a portable toilet to make the most of your membership. If you travel without your own toilet, you may only stay with hosts who provide access to toilets 24 hours a day. These hosts are marked with a WC icon in the app.

Traveling with a Rooftop Tent in Europe

.

If you want to travel with a rooftop tent outside Denmark following the Pintrip concept, there are similar networks across Europe. Some of Pintrip’s partner networks also welcome rooftop tents – depending on local regulations and the possibilities offered by the hosts.

For example, you can use networks such as Nortrip in Norway and Sweden, as well as Landvergnügen in Germany, Switzerland, and Austria.
